...Sorry if I haven't been posting the last few weeks.  Life has recently hit me pretty hard and I've found myself struggling to get back up.  I was recently evicted from my home due to my inability to pay the rent.  I've been couch surfing and working at the same time.  I've been working on pages, but I haven't been able to scan them.  At the moment I have 8 pages ready to go, but I'm going to have to take a small break to catch up.  I hope to be back by mid-April.  Thank you for your continued support.

...So first off I want to apologize for the year of neglect.  I've been posting most of my work on my own website: stithcomics.com/comics, and a few other sites, reddit, pintrest, tumblr, instagram, twitter, facebook, and completely forgot this place, aside from a few cover and color pages.  I would prefer to have you all read my comics on my website.  I post them there anyways, but I want you to be able to access them too.  It's a catch 22, right.  So I'm going to be posting the 6 back issues here for you to read, and if you'd like to read the most recent stuff.  click the link above.  I will try to post as many as I can throughout the week.  Issue 12 will be the last one I upload today.

Best regards,
Brandon

Latin aside, Immortals is the story of the first Demi-God, and Hero Theseus, and his link to the Gods.  We're introduced to the concepts of what the immortals are, and how the Gods came to be, and who the Titans are.  The first character we're introduced to is the oracle and we're told how the oracle is an oracle.  Then we are quickly ushered off to meet our Hero Theseus and his mother, and the epic takes off from there.

Through out the entire film it was a thrill ride.  The characters aren't as fleshed out as they could've been, and for a movie called Immortals, you hardly ever see them.  The point of the movie seem to show why the gods, do not interfere with mankind, and it makes little use of the Gods themselves.  Until we actually see the gods interfere and we're shown how strong they are, and the true differences between man and the immortals. The differences between the gods are film in "non-bullet time/gore" and "bullet time/gore".  The human fight scenes have a cadence and an elegant style to them, less blood and more of an action beat'em up.  Then there's the Gods.  Every fight scene they're in, the are body parts everywhere.  No a single piece of their enemies are left to even be recognized no bury.  The Gods in these few scenes show exactly why they do not get involved.  Zeus is made to look like a huge douche in the stories we're told about, but in this one, he's more of a father figure trying to protect the whole of his family, man-kind included.  It's a different perspective on a very, seemingly miss-understood king.

The few things I didn't like as far as the story was concerned.  Firstly, Hyperion...was a titan...  One of the big 12, who's job was to be the complete opposite of Helios/Apollo God of the Sun, however he's a simple human, who rose to be a king.  He doesn't cease to be any less evil.  Secondly, the minitor...is just a dude in a barbed wire bull mask, which btw was totally awesome, but in the land of Gods and Titan, I would wonder if the production team thought it would be a better idea to humanize some of the creatures.  When I personally think of the Gods and Titans, I think of anthropomorphic beasts and creatures, not people.  I do understand why they did it, but the concept of the Gods coming down and doing things in and out of the sky, seems like a fantasy type setup, and it seems lazy for a special effects heavy movie to leave that out.  It took me out of the movie a lot.  It didn't make the movie bad, but it didn't seem like the kind of thing that would've made a flight of fancy, enjoyable. Over all I felt that my gripes are minor.

I loved the movie and the story it had to tell.  The costumes and the overall atmosphere were very awesome and enticing.  As a person who knows a little about Greco-Roman Mythology, this movie both hits and misses the mark, but not enough to be glaring.  It's a wonderful movie that would've been best served as a summer block buster, but it's a good action thrill ride.  Gloria immortalium!

Hey guys.  I'm sorry for the lack of updates recently.  More house hold drama has occured, and things are starting to get messy.  My roomy got all of the computers in the house mac filtered, and we are all very VERY pissed at him for that.  As a result of this, I can't post pictures.  I did get a new job, and that's a great job, so you can't take the bad with out a little bit of good, but I'm putting the comic on a posting hideous on until I can get some stable internet.  THAT should be sometime soon.  I'm not sure how long it's going to be, for this I am extremely sorry.

...i personally do not like the last page i posted so, i'm going to fix it before posting another page... i didn't accomplish what i wanted with the page, so a page i believe is better will be posted, when i get home.

also i haven't been home lately due to my room mate thinking he's something that he is not.  it's becoming a problem, AND i just moved in there.  i can't live with a person who's so purpose in life is to drink himself retarded, and chase women.  i don't want to become an alcoholic because i watched what it put my mother through.  I have the gene for it, as does my sister, but i can't stand it when people just let themselves go like that.  Alcoholism effects more then just yourself.  It effects the people around you.  It's okay to drink, it's not okay to let it change you.

...not so much in the bit rat of graphics...but in the rate of awesome games coming out.  For example have any of you played the new Batman game, if you haven't...it's awesome, Dissidia: Final Fantasy; awesome, (i owned it a year earlier in japanese...english is way more awesome, they fixed a lot of bugs).  Not to sound like a Sony fan boy, I'll spout some of other games I've played as of late.  BluBlaze, awesome on 360...(made for ps3, and supports PSP remote play for those who didn't know. FYI it's awesome!!!) Shadow Complex, literally Super Metroid with out Samus...or Metroids...never the less FUCKIN' AWESOME!!  Kingdom Hearts 352/2, very impressive, and awesome!!

What do all of these games have in common with one another?  That's a very simple question to answer?  The spirit of the 16 era is with all of these games.  Shadow Complex=Super Metroid  Batman: AA= Double Dragon BluBlaze=Samurai Showdown Kingdom Hearts=Secret of Mana, little known fact: KH is made literally by the same dev. team as the Secret of Mana games right down to the composer.  In short a lot of the games coming out today, are seriously inspired by an era of gaming that cared more about making a decent game, then the graphics.  Sure the graphics are good, and all in your grill now, but for realz.  Games are becoming games again, where they test your abilities, and not your graphics card.  Killzone to me was an amazing game, I hope the make a third one.  Even the house that Sonic built is taking a step back and saying "dude".  For those of you who haven't heard.  The blue bullet is getting a strictly 2D game.  check the source. kotaku.com/5355153/sonic-retur… and Luigi are back in 2D form as well with New Super Mario Bros. Wii  The TNMT is getting a side-scroller beat'em up game for the DS.  No More Heroes 2 will have more 8-bit portions in it...  It isn't much but it can be the tip of the iceberg, and that alone is a lot.  Let's all cross our fingers and hope eh?

so my internets went out over the course of the past few weeks.  in which case my "former" room mates dropped a bomb shell on me, and this lead me to find a new place of residence.  Everything these days seems to boil down to one thing... money.  Sad...but a necessity in today's life style...  Hopefully I will be able to return to a regular schedule of updates...

Okay so I just got off the phone with the young lady who is my co-star in the little comic, and finally got her feed back on the situation.  To be frank, I really made an ass of myself with a lady that I am attracted to.  So without going into further detail I have removed the piece, and have apologized to the person in question and that is that.

First of all I want to say this is my own opinion and that is that.  I personally approve of abortion, in many cases where it is required, i.e. incest, and rape.  I do not approve of abortion in the sense of getting rid of an unwanted child.  That's what adoption is for, plain and simple.  I approve of late term abortions where the mother and child's life is in danger, and there is no way of saving both.  Having to make that decision is not a decision a woman generally makes on her own, and far be it for me to tell that woman what to do with an already dying fetus, it's not my place.  In reality it's not yours either, the sooner America realizes this, the better.  Americans as a whole have come to the conclusion that freedom to choose mean I have the freedom to choose for you, and that's just not true.  Many would be the first to tell me that it's murder to kill an unborn child, ok I see your point, and make a counter point, it is also a death sentence to make a woman carry a child with whoms birth would kill her because you believe some imaginary person would have this child live in a world without it's mother because he didn't build her well enough to keep the child alive before it's birth.  That by simple logic is social murder.  Millions of people sentencing one person to death for the crime of having bad genes and not being able to fully bare children, being raped, or being a victim of incest.  All "crimes" where the woman is a victim.  Good job America, you've just made yourself look like the biggest GAPING ASS HOLE in the world.  If I were a husband of such a woman and I was told I'd have to give up the woman with whom I'd chosen to spend the rest of my life with all because a man that I could not see said this was wrong, I'd ask that man how it was wrong to save a life that has the ability to give life, and demand an answer immediately, because I'd be owed one, and so would she, but the people who oppose this choice can never give one.  Not one person can, other than, "God wouldn't like it."  That wouldn't fly, with me or other people in those real situations.  The real true answer to this question is the right one.  It's none of your business, and it never will be.  Killing a child is not an easy choice, and a lot of women make the choice with a heavy heart, because it's killing a part of yourself, a being created of two, and to kill the child because it will kill you if you don't is not going against god, because quite frankly if he/she/it were face with the same choice, I'm pretty sure you ALL know what that choice would be...it would be the choice to try again, and that means to live.  We all need to accept that.  I say this as the second child of my mother, and the first child living.  You know that means?  I have an older sister I will never meet, because some sick person, raped my mother at a young age.  The child died of the measles, died is the key word, from an illness that we easily defeat because of our immune system.  So before any of you people say this was gods work, it wasn't gods work that made that man rape my mother, and allowed my older sister die.  It wasn't gods work that made a man break into my best friends Vegas home and torture and rape her, and bring her child into the world making her a single parent.  If that is gods work, I want nothing to do with him, because that makes him far more cruel and unnecessary then he's ever been in my life, because that's not right.
The same goes for sick man that killed a man for doing what he thought was right by ending the life of another to give that person another chance to make life, in the house of GOD.  Why didn't god protect that man?  Why was he killed while serving his savior?  This is how god works?  He allows killing in his sanctuary?  I don't want a god that can't protect me in HIS house, no one should.  Where was he when one of his sheep needed to be protected from the wolf in sheep's clothing, and in front of children, not just his own children, but other peoples children.  That's just sick, it's just not right!!!  I don't question other peoples belief in such a deity, but this is too much.  Really people, question things in your life, because when you aren't even safe in a safe place of worship, you're not safe...all because one man did his job. He gave abortions to those who needed it.

The program I've been using to do my comics has been shutting down in the middle of saves, or exports.  I don't know why it's doing this and it's causing me to loose 30 minutes to an hours worth of work each time I try to save it, or even sometimes 2 to 3 hours all together, this includes re-doing entire pages all together.  I don't know how to fix this...as a result I can't make anymore pages until this problem has been corrected.  Does anyone have any suggestions on where to start looking for a fix?  I'm using manga studio 4 ex to do my page layouts and let me tell you, it's a great program...when IT WORKS.
